An industrial look and impressive staircase for Machine A’s flagship store

Machine A is a well established fashion brand in the heart of Soho. EC1 Build were employed to complete a full refurbishment which included extending into the basement and doubling the space to 120m².

 The spectacular new bespoke metal staircase is a highlight of this project and our project manager Luke worked hard with the architects on its design and methods of construction. The curved lime rendered walls that surround it transforms the whole space, creating a centre piece and welcoming entrance to the new retail area in the basement.

We also applied lime render and laid microcement throughout, we fitted mirrored glass and steel to the walls and co-designed and made bespoke perspex display units and shelving. The shopfront was completed with a bespoke aluminium and neon sign, bespoke door handle and specialist paint to resemble brushed stainless steel.
